Everything you need to stop asking “Why me?” and start asking “What do I choose?”

It All Begins With Your Thoughts

One day as I was walking home from the subway in New York, I tripped and fell up the stairs. I crashed hard and found myself laughing. Onlookers stared as I laughed harder and picked myself up. By the time I had walked one block to my apartment, my laughter had turned to tears. Weeping, I gave into my anger and let all of the emotions wash over me.

I found myself asking one question – “Why me?”

I had already been diagnosed with MS. I had my challenge to deal with, and I’d been dealing with it well. But salivary gland cancer? When I didn’t even smoke? It just wasn’t fair.

Once I let myself experience the unfairness and indulge in the question of “Why me?”... I found my shoulders starting to relax. I took a deep breath and recentered. A new thought bloomed:

“It’s what I do with this situation that makes me who I am.”

And I knew who I was. I was someone who enjoyed life. Who felt grounded and peaceful. I was someone who chose love and strength and freedom. So that’s how I chose to show up. I didn’t “suffer” or “survive” my cancer diagnosis – I strengthened my character and lived with my cancer. I moved through my challenges and learned from them.

And so can you. I’m here to help you along the way.

Do You Find Yourself Asking…

What if I keep getting sicker?

  • How am I supposed to “stay positive” when everything is falling apart around me or inside me?

  • Will I ever feel joy again?

  • How do I “move on” from a loss like this?

  • Where do I go from here?

If so, you’re in the right place.

Our work here is all about helping you move from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to freely being able to participate in life.

We never ignore or avoid the hard feelings. Instead, we face them and move through them with the skills and support wellness coaching offers – so you can tap into your power of free will and create the life you dream about.

 Heart-Centered Communication

“The real us is pure love; we are Life.” – Don Miguel Ruiz

My coaching is rooted in heart-centered communication. That means we focus on building love, not fear. This kind of communication takes time and self-reflection, and it’s worth the effort. Together, we’ll practice focusing on the beauty, joy, and love in your life, because what you focus on, you’ll have more of.

Loving your life starts with you – and when you learn how to truly love yourself, everything in life becomes easier and more abundant. Each and every one of your feelings is valuable. Our work centers on learning how to become what I call “objectively detached,” which is simply an awareness of what’s happening and an observation of your experiences and emotions, giving you the ability to pause and respond instead of reacting. Heart-centered communication helps you forgive more easily, step away from judgment, and embrace the lessons life teaches you. It’s truly a beautiful thing!
